Role: Ecommerce Manager – Dewsbury
Salary: £38-£45k per annum DOE
Hours: 9am-5pm Monday Friday
Position Overview:
Elevation Recruitment are excited to be exclusively recruiting for a leading UK clothing manufacturer. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Ecommerce Manager to lead and grow our online sales channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ecommerce strategy, managing 5 separate ecommerce websites, digital marketing, conversion optimisation, and online customer experience. The role requires a mix of analytical skills, digital marketing expertise, and strong project management abilities to ensure the success of our ecommerce platform.
The Ecommerce Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, customer service, and IT, to ensure a seamless shopping experience that drives traffic, maximises conversion rates, and boosts revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Ecommerce Strategy & Management:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to drive online sales growth, increase customer retention, and improve user experience.
o Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of 5 ecommerce platforms, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
o Ensure that the website is fully optimised for search (SEO), usability, performance, and responsiveness across devices.
2. Digital marketing & acquisition:
o Develop, implement, and manage effective digital marketing campaigns, including paid search (PPC), display ads, SEO, email marketing, and social media.
o Track, analyze, and report on key ecommerce metrics (traffic, conversion rates, revenue, etc.) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
o Work closely with the content and creative teams to produce relevant, high-quality, and engaging content.
3. Customer Journey & Conversion Optimisation:
o Optimise the customer journey by using A/B testing, user data, and analytics to improve website functionality, user experience (UX), and conversion rates.
o Develop and manage an ecommerce roadmap to align with business goals and priorities.
4. Inventory, Logistics and Vendor Management:
o Coordinate with product teams and supply chain managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory across all ecommerce platforms.
o Monitor product availability, manage stock levels, and communicate any stock or shipping issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
o Liaise with third-party vendors (such as logistics providers and payment gateways) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer service.
5. Analytics and reporting:
o Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, etc.) to monitor performance, identify trends, and generate reports on ecommerce KPIs (conversion rates, average order value, customer acquisition cost, etc.).
o Provide actionable insights from data analysis to improve online sales, customer retention, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and skills:
* Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in ecommerce management, digital marketing, or a similar role within a retail or consumer-focused environment.
* A background within retail, clothing ideally.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and content management systems (CMS).
* Hands-on experience with digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and affiliate marketing.
* Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.) and conversion optimisation strategies.
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze ecommerce performance metrics and make informed decisions.
* Experience with A/B testing tools and techniques.
