Job Opportunity
We are supporting various customers worldwide and are recruiting for a HR Business Advisor for our client. This is a part-time, 12-month fixed-term position at their Parts Distribution Centre in Daventry, Northants. It’s an exciting time to join as they support business growth and modernize HR practices. The HR Business Advisor will work within a small, friendly HR team to support the distribution centre's People Leaders in managing approximately 350 employees in manual, warehouse roles. Both hourly and salaried employees are represented by Trade Union partners, with whom close collaboration is required. The role involves employee relations, HR project work, data management, and professional HR advisory responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Employee Relations Operational/Business Support
* Coach and support People Leaders in HR-related actions, including resolving employee relations issues
* Support resourcing requirements aligned with resourcing and skills strategies
* Develop effective relationships with stakeholders, including Trade Union partners
* Use data proactively to identify business needs and collaborate on continuous improvements to enhance the employee experience
Candidate Profile
Skills Required:
* Previous HR experience, particularly in business partnership within manufacturing or distribution environments
* Examples of negotiation, persuasion, counseling, and influencing skills
* HR administrative skills and project experience
* Experience working with Trade Union partners and managing absence and disciplinary processes
Skills Preferred:
* Policy interpretation and implementation
* Supporting and advising on employee wellbeing, absence management, and formal investigations
* Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and practices
Education:
Ideally, a Degree or CIPD qualification. However, relevant experience and skills are also considered.
