Qualifications
Essential
1. 2 year minimum recent experience within an acute Endoscopy Unit.
2. Signed off as a competent Endoscopy Nurse with the ability to manage and participate in emergency situations and GI bleeds.
3. Able to assist in therapeutic emergencies.
4. Ability to work in unfamiliar work environments, using initiative and experience.
5. Able to administer IV medication and fluids.
6. Identify and escalate a deteriorating patient.
Desirable
7. Endoscopy based training course.
8. Ability to gain IV access.
9. Mentorship course.
