Job Title: Receptionist/ administrator
We are looking for a Receptionist to join our busy, friendly team at Riverside Medical Centre. We require front desk reception cover Monday - Friday, 1pm-6 pm. Flexibility is required in times of sickness. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship.
The role requires good customer service skills and office experience is role requires a mixture of front desk work and back office adminsitration.

Main duties of the job
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the Practice administration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Senior Receptionist/Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving Practice workload and staffing levels:
1. Opening up/locking-up of Practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols
2. Maintaining and monitoring the Practice appointments system
3. Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
4. Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
5. Filing and retrieving paperwork
6. Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines
7. Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures
8. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers
9. Providing clerical assistance to Practice and Trust staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning
10. Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter

We are a busy GP Practice located in the heart of Castleford, serving 11500 patients. Our team consists of 4 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GP's, 5 Nurses, 2 HCA's, ACP, Clininal Pharmacists and a range of other supporting staff.

Job Summary-
Thepurpose of the role is to:
Offergeneral assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendlyimage to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Receive,assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcareprofessional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
Undertakea variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practiceincluding the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staffand other members of the Practice team
Facilitateeffective communication between patients, members the primary health care team,secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

Ordering, re-ordering and monitoring of stationery and other supplies
Dealing with clinical waste
Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required; loading and emptying the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
