What you will get up to?
As the Director of Sales, Hotels UK, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies across all segments and channels in the UK, while also managing and developing a high-performing sales team. Youll collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Operations to prepare business plans, define objectives, and optimize sales performance for the entire area.The role demands a dynamic leader who can blend strategic vision with hands-on implementation to deliver exceptional results in a competitive market whilst leading and mentoring the sales teams across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing a commercial strategy aligned with the business plan and revenue targets across the UK hotels.
* Monitoring and coordinating sales targets, taking necessary measures to achieve them.
* Leading and motivating the sales team to ensure targets are met.
* Defining sales objectives in collaboration with Revenue Management
* Creating budgets aligned with action plans for various business sources and markets.
* Conducting regular follow-up meetings and presenting regional performance with Revenue Management.
* Maintaining relationships with General Managers and representing the Hotels International brand.
* Working closely with the marketing team.
* Reporting directly to the Sales VP at headquarters.
* Lead, motivate, and manage the performance of the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
* Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to improve team effectiveness.
* Create tailored action plans for corporate, group, leisure, and event sales segments.
* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event organisers.
* Represent the hotel at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate business leads.
Your DNA
* Proven experience in a senior sales role within the hospitality industry, preferably at a multi-property or regional level.
* Available to travel internationally (sales actions, management meetings,) and locally (UK: clients and partners meetings, North UK hotels management, etc)
* Strong knowledge of the UK hospitality market, including corporate, leisure, and MICE segments
* At least 3 years of previous experience as a Director of Sales for 4*/5* hotels in London
* Deep knowledge of hotel and tourism industry at international level and excellent connections in the London and UK market.
* With strong connections with key travel agencies, Luxury, MICE and Business Travel networks in the UK and main feeder markets
* Highly developed management, coaching and motivational skills
* Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
* Results-driven with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
