UX DESIGNER - UK Central Government (Defence)
Location : Corsham/London (Hybrid) Rate: 550 - 650 p/d inside IR35 Job Type : Contract - 12 months

* Experience :
o A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer, with a proven track record of designing intuitive and user-centered digital solutions.
* Design Tools :
o Proficiency in industry-standard UX design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
* User-Centered Design Expertise :
o Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and processes, including wireframing, prototyping, and iterative design.
* Portfolio :
o A strong, comprehensive portfolio showcasing your UX design work, demonstrating user-focused design approaches, methodologies, and outcomes.
* User Research & Testing :
o Proven ability to conduct user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) and apply findings to design decisions.
* Usability & Accessibility :
o Knowledge and experience in designing for usability and accessibility, including familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
* Collaboration & Communication :
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions clearly to cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving Skills :
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of turning complex requirements into user-friendly designs.
* Understanding of Front-End Technologies :
o Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration with development teams.
* Attention to Detail :
o A meticulous approach to design, ensuring consistency and high standards across all digital platforms.
* Adaptability :
o Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, responding effectively to shifting priorities.
* Agile Experience (Desirable but not essential):
o Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and experience working in iterative development environments
