Job Description The Workpack Close-Out Lead is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate completion of work packs, facilitating the smooth transition from active project phases to final close-out. A key part of this role is the interface with our teams on and offshore as well as our client stakeholders, and it is essential that the lead can establish strong working relationships and has a passion for completing our scopes to a high standard within the agreed timeframe. Effective Close-out is crucial to project delivery excellence and as such the following is seen as the key responsibilities:- Stakeholder Coordination: Acts as a liaison between project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely completion of tasks. Team Lead: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members to ensure smooth workflow and task completion. Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team members, supporting their professional growth and development. Lead by example: setting high personal standards for peers to follow. Clear communication: co-ordination with relevant site and office- based personnel. Proactively demonstrate and drive safety and leadership. Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess team performance, providing feedback and guidance to ensure high standards are maintained. Agile Reporting – regular updates and reports to management using our agile delivery methodology enabling informed decision-making and proactive issue resolution. Quality Assurance: Conducts thorough quality checks to ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications, reducing the risk of errors and rework. Workpack Close-out Efficiency: Ensures all work pack documentation is accurate and up-to-date, facilitating clear communication and record-keeping. Compliance Management: Ensures all activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of safety and legality. Risk Mitigation: Works with the team to identify potential risks and implements measures to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project progression and minimizing disruptions. Continuous Improvement: Contributes to the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements, enhancing overall project efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities Identification of sub-system limits and the updating of limits in line with latest revision P&ID’s/SLD’s" Completion of data downloads and verification of data on completion of imports Population of the completions management database in line with applicable project procedures and latest design data" Production and issue of field-test reports (FTR’s) and liaison with construction and pre commissioning personnel to ensure correct completion of these" Day to day operation and control of the mechanical completion database and system completion records" Control of change to the completions management database in line with project change control procedures " Compilation and verification of mechanical completion handover packages in line with agreed system handover schedule" Ensuring mechanical completion data, documentation, drawings and handovers are in line with agreed project procedures" Adherence to all applicable site/project safety procedures" Active participation in all company and project safety initiatives" Status reporting of completions progress as required by the project" Ensures operations & maintenance requirements are identified and requirements are tracked for start-up Complies with completions and/or certification procedures. Expedites and assures the full mechanical completion of a system by construction prior to arranging handover activities to commissioning Records and monitors the close out of defects or deficiences within project scope Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Should possess Level 4 ISCED qualification in a relevant technical discipline Knowledge, skills and experience: Previous experience within a certification environment Previous experience within a commissioning engineering environment Experience working in a relvant operational environment Ability to read relevant drawings eg P&ID’s, SLD’s, GA's, with good understanding of mnemonics and LOSH. Must show an aptitude for the certification documentation process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong IT skills are necessary to support the data manipulation and data import process.
