Part Time, 16 hours a week, Thurs and Fri £10,483.20 per annum (pro rated) Grounds Maintenance Operatives work as part of a team to provide a grounds maintenance service, responsibilities include: Complete horticultural duties as required across Ocean’s stock including grass cutting, strimming, weeding, maintaining and planting shrubs, trees, plants and other grounds maintenance and gardening tasks Assess site conditions and make decisions on most appropriate work to be undertaken and equipment to be used in accordance with weather conditions and best practice Conduct estate checks when on site, identifying and reporting any issues that may pose a health and safety risk to the public Be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and daily/routine checks of any plant or machinery provided Qualifications and Experience Educated to NVQ Level 1 qualification (eg GCSE D-E or CSE level 2-5)) or equivalent and Level 1 qualification (eg GCSE D-E or CSE level 2-5 in English/Literacy) or equivalent Valid Full Driving Licence Grounds Maintenance experience and ability to carry out a wide range of horticultural tasks A good understanding of health and safety issues and risks in relation to grounds maintenance We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory basic check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
