From weddings to corporate events and charity galas, we need a dedicated Events and Operations Manager to lead the events team and maximise the commercial potential of Banqueting House which is re-opening in October after an 18 month closure.
This role is about communication as much as organisation. You will work to continually enhance and promote the reputation of HRP as a world class portfolio of event venues by providing event organisers, clients and guests with faultless support and facilities. You will also oversee the day-to-day visitor operation ensuring a high standard of customer service and presentation is delivered every day.
You must be a self-starter and a quick learner with the ability to hit the ground running. Possessing the ability to work on your own initiative, you must be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to engage personably with all stakeholders. Someone who can work well in a team environment, you’ll also have excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
You’ll have proven experience of managing an events venue and running events on an operational level. In-depth knowledge of the industry is essential and any knowledge of working within a heritage setting will stand you in good stead.
Finally, you must be prepared to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as and when the events schedule requires it.
