Position: Software Systems Architect
Location: East Kilbride, Scotland
Your Challenge:
1. Support Junior Engineers with their technical challenges.
2. Support System Engineering:
1. Selection of microcontroller and memory devices.
2. Enable reuse of pre-developed SW solutions.
3. Support efforts to win new customers by providing effort estimates.
4. Develop high quality, accurate and concise SW requirements.
3. SW System Architecture Design:
1. Develop SW concepts across microcontroller platforms.
2. Proof of concept for SW Systems.
4. SW Engineering:
1. Requirements capture and analysis.
2. Contribute to our Product Design Specifications.
3. Plan and implement software tests (Model in the loop).
4. Ensure adherence and compliance to our existing SW process.
5. Take the initiative, collaborate and communicate well.
6. Interact successfully with stakeholders.
7. Support system debugging in our R+D laboratory.
5. Work across geographical boundaries.
Your Profile:
The successful candidate will likely have a few years’ experience and a relevant degree in software or electronics engineering, and be looking for a role with bigger challenges, a higher profile, and more responsibility. This could be a first step towards taking more responsibility within a software team.
Experience in the following areas is desired:
1. Embedded C bare metal development.
2. Simulink or Model Based Development tools.
3. An understanding of control methodologies.
4. Requirements engineering, SW architecture design, SW test planning, and documentation.
5. DSP Microcontrollers or real-time control.
