* Quarterly bonus scheme based on company performance.
* 36-hour workweek with flexible start and finish times: Monday to Thursday (8:20 AM - 4:30 PM) and Friday (8:20 AM - 1:30 PM) - an early finish on Fridays!
* Hybrid working - once fully trained, you'll have the option to work from home every Friday.
* Structured training and development with strong career progression opportunities.
* A well-established, structured, and secure company with low staff turnover.
* Based in Gateshead, with free on-site parking and excellent transport links.
* Comprehensive benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with additional leave for length of service), profit-share bonus, enhanced pension scheme, life assurance, enhanced parental leave, employee assistance programme (24/7 helpline), discount app and tickets to local attractions, cycle-to-work scheme, and more.
Your role as an account manager
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused, fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong, long-term relationships. The business development team (who you will work closely with) focuses on bringing in new business, and your role will be to nurture and manage those clients afterward - handling their day-to-day accounts, checking in with customers, and ensuring they receive excellent service.
Responsibilities
* Managing customer enquiries through to quotation, ensuring efficient follow-up.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
* Handling all communications promptly and professionally.
* Identifying and qualifying areas for growth within accounts.
* Supporting regional marketing initiatives.
* Managing the centralised inbox to ensure quick response times.
* Providing outstanding customer service via phone and email.
* Escalating technical support enquiries via CRM systems.
* Overseeing after-sales servicing and repairs.
* Preparing monthly reports.
* Monitoring pricing and discount strategies to align with business goals.
What we're looking for
* Experience in account management, customer service, sales administration, or sales order processing.
* Proactive and results-driven with a self-starter mindset.
* Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Good IT proficiency - experience with Office 365 and CRM systems is a plus.
* A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
* A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
