Laundry Supervisor James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, TS4 3BW Full time – based on a 2-week rota. Week 1 – 33 hours, week 2 – 42 hours Salary: Up to £25,674.00 depending on experience plus enhancements, plus Serco benefits. Key Purpose: Here at Serco, we have an exciting opportunity for a Laundry Supervisor within James Cook Hospital. This position is to supervise the provision of the onsite linen service in a high quality, effective and cost-effective manner to all departments, wards and external customers. Main Accountabilities: To ensure that all laundry functions are undertaken in a professional, competent and safe manner. Implement and comply with the Company's policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. Assist in the management and distribution of linen to external customers. Ensure the availability of adequate resource within the laundry. Ensure safe working practices are always maintained. Identify training and development needs of laundry personnel and carry out training as necessary. Advise Laundry Service Manager of any issues associated with the laundry services The supervision of all laundry staff. 36 laundry assistants, drivers, sewing room seamstresses. On various shift patterns. Liaise with patient ambassadors, portering team, Trust staff and departments about local linen requirements. Ensure that adequate supplies of clean linen are always available. Monitor the cleanliness and general tidiness of the laundry. Promote positive feedback from clients internal and external of the hospital site regarding service delivery. Ensure effective emergency procedures are in place.
