You would work closely with the college to design and update curriculum content, ensuring it meets regulatory standards, industry requirements and educational objectives. This includes integrating current health and social care practices, technologies and research into the curriculum. You will collaborate with external partners such as health and social care providers and regulatory bodies to stay abreast of industry trends and ensure program relevance. Additionally, you will monitor student progress, evaluate teaching methods and implement strategies to enhance learning outcomes and student success in health and social care related fields. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of academic staff providing guidance, support and professional development opportunities to ensure effective teaching and student support, whilst also maintaining an active teaching role within the department Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, creativity and continuous improvement in curriculum delivery and student engagement Coordinate team efforts to develop and implement student support strategies such as tutoring programmes, academic advising and learning resources, to meet diverse student needs Engage with student feedback mechanisms (surveys etc) to gather insights and data for continuous improvement of teaching practices, curriculum design and student support initiatives, while actively teaching and interacting with students Collaborate with the college to ensure curriculum alignment with regulatory standards and industry requirements Integrate current health and social care practices, technologies and research into the curriculum Implement strategies to enhance teaching methods and student access Manage resources effectively to support curriculum development and delivery Maintain program accreditation and compliance with educational standards The Candidate: Degree or PGCE in a relevant field like Health Sciences, Education or Healthcare Management would be advantageous Experience in curriculum development, teaching and management, preferable in a healthcare or educational setting Strong leadership and managerial skills to lead curriculum development teams and manage resources effectively Passion for education and a commitment to enhancing students learning and success.
