We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant from mid March to cover PPA Monday to Friday (temporary maternity contract). The hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2.30pm on Fridays. The successful candidate will work effectively with whole classes to cover teachers’ and leaders’ PPA and management/leadership time, covering a range of subjects across the curriculum across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2 in addition to other general teaching assistant roles as and when required.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be qualified to Level 2 or 3 Diploma level (or equivalent)
* Desirable to be working at or towards professional standards for HLTA
* Have relevant experience of covering classes
* Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative
* Be committed to their own professional development
* Have good interpersonal and organisational skills
* Support the ethos and wider life of the school
* Have high expectations of all children and an ability to inspire children in their learning
* Ability to insist on high standards of behaviour and academic outcomes, enabling all pupils to flourish
* Ability to use a variety of strategies to engage and support all children in their learning
* Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
