About The Role
The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organisation complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations while fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement. You will report to the Director of SHEQ and manage a small team of support staff engaged on SHEQ systems and site-wide compliance.
What You Will Be Doing
* Develop and implement HSE policies in line with industry regulations and best practices.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on all HSE matters.
* Lead risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify hazards and drive compliance.
* Ensure ISO certifications are maintained.
* Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
* Deliver HSE training programmes and promote a proactive safety culture.
* Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to legislation, including CDM and the Building Safety Act.
* Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators.
* Support sustainability initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint.
What You Will Bring
* Demonstrable experience in an HSE role within construction or manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and compliance standards.
* Proven experience in developing and delivering HSE training.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
* IOSH membership (working toward Chartered status preferred).
* Experience with ISO management systems (45001, 14001).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and HSE innovation.
