REPORTING STRUCTURE REPORTS TO: Bid Manager DIRECT REPORTS: N/A KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Bid Team Finance team Business Development Managers Franchisees PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Assisting with the Company’s bidding processes and liaising with franchisees, the role will demand multi-tasking and an ability to work under pressure to meet tender submission deadlines. You will be responsible for the generation of high quality written tender material for multiple grounds maintenance contracts across varied sectors. To be successful in this role you will produce compelling, specific, evidenced written material that details the benefits of Countrywide’s proposition in meeting the client’s specific needs and enables Countrywide to win new contracts and retain existing clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Produce high scoring proposal content that meets specific client requirements. Author tender responses in response to specific tender questions and in line with evaluation criteria, or in line with market best practice where not provided. Review existing written material, edit, and make amendments to improve the overall quality of bids as part of a commitment to continuous improvement. Actively seek out high quality content from internal and external stakeholders to constantly improve proposal quality. Support the franchise network where required with arrangement of first appointments, site visits and internal meetings to develop an in-depth knowledge of each opportunity. Create case studies and testimonials which utilise evidence of Countrywide’s success with existing clients to identify the benefits of awarding contracts to Countrywide. Deliver completed written proposals to the Bid Manager within agreed deadlines, escalating issues where required. Offering support and mentoring to other members of the team. Actively seek feedback on both successful and unsuccessful tenders to inform future bids and to improve overall quality standards. Creation and maintenance of content and templates for tender library. Staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry. Any other reasonable duty that falls within your capabilities. A working knowledge of Health and Safety practices. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE: Experience in grounds maintenance or facilities management sector would be beneficial. Previous experience working in a bid writing or a bid team role. High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite) SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE: Evidence of producing high scoring written content for competitive tenders. A high attention to detail with an excellent editing and proofing ability. Excellent communicator, written and verbal, with proven bid team involvement. Ability to multitask and prioritise workload. Excellent time management and organisational skills to deliver content in a demanding environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
