The Laminator Fitter plays a vital role in manufacturing lightweight, durable structures using composite materials such as carbon fiber. This hands-on position involves assembling, fitting, and bonding materials to deliver components that meet exacting aerospace standards. Job Desciption: Prepare moulds and work surfaces, including cleaning and applying release agents. Lay up, cut, and fit composite materials following engineering drawings and specifications. Apply resin and bonding agents with precision to ensure quality adhesion. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to assemble and finish components. Conduct quality inspections to identify and correct any defects, ensuring strict adherence to tolerances.Trim, sand, and finish parts to achieve the desired dimensions and surface finishes. Collaborate with team leaders and quality control to maintain high standards. Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. Assist in tool and equipment maintenance as needed.Experience/ Skills: Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a related manufacturing role. Understanding of composite materials and laminating techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions. Proficiency with tools and equipment used in laminating and fitting. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
