We are seeking a Fabric and Trims Coordinator to join the Casablanca team, working across both menswear and womenswear. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this is a full-time role responsible for managing the bulk ordering of raw materials and trims each season. The role requires close collaboration with the Production Team, Product Development, Design, Merchandising, and Finance, as well as external factories and suppliers.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of six years of experience in a similar role.
The role:
Purchase Orders & Stock Management
* Place purchase orders with fabric and trim suppliers.
* Manage all aspects of raw materials stock for production, including ordering raw materials and trims.
* Create and maintain raw material trackers for the department.
* Ensure all shipments are logged, tracked, and stock locations are updated.
Fabric Development & Testing
* Collaborate closely with the fabric development team on seasonal fabric handovers.
* Oversee approved print file artworks, fabric testing/mill tech reports, and approved fabric swatches.
* Ensure fabric testing requirements and standards are met.
* Organise test reports and certifications for each season, including additional testing required for production and specific client territories.
Production Coordination
* Work alongside merchandising, product development, and production teams to plan and place seasonal fabric forecast orders.
* Allocate raw materials to different production destinations, ensuring timely shipments according to CP planned dates.
* Follow up on order confirmations, delivery dates, and update the system and critical path accordingly.
* Ensure bulk approval swatches are received and approved in a timely manner.
* Arrange fabric strike-offs and lab dips for new orders with FE factories.
* Track and chase approvals for lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and sample length deliveries.
* Negotiate prices and lead times for bulk fabric and trims orders.
System & Data Management
* Maintain and update all data on PLM, ensuring the internal system reflects the latest information.
