Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Head Office, Wolverhampton (with occasional travel across the UK) Contract Type: Full-Time (39 hours per week), Permanent CRS have partnered up with a leading UK-based specialist in architectural glazing, curtain walling, and cladding construction systems. With a strong pipeline of projects and a clear growth strategy, we are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and supporting the successful delivery of our contracts. Reporting To: Commercial Manager Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract Duties Manage and control project documentation. Conduct quantity take-offs for tendering, cost planning, and budget management. Assist the Commercial Bid Team in tender preparation. Identify errors, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities within contract documents. Support the Estimating Department with pre-contract analysis and tasks. Post-Contract Duties Appoint and manage subcontractors under designated contract terms. Oversee subcontractor accounts, including measured works, variations, and contra-charges. Maintain detailed records for valuations, reconciliations, and cost analysis. Conduct cost investigations and measurement of completed works. Identify and measure variations and added value opportunities. Prepare and submit contractual correspondence in line with contract conditions. Ensure additional work is accurately recorded for full commercial recovery. Monitor and report monthly cash flow against budget. Prepare interim and final project accounts. Provide financial reports and updates during internal meetings. Conduct weekly/biweekly labour cost-value reconciliations. Perform other duties as required to support business needs. What We’re Looking For Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification/experience. Experience working with contract conditions (JCT, NEC, bespoke agreements). Strong knowledge of cost management, early issue identification, and resolution. Understanding of labour, plant, and material costs, including rates and outputs. Ability to read technical drawings and produce take-offs/BOQs. Strong deadline management skills and attention to contract compliance. A proactive and collaborative approach to commercial project management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK as needed. Why Join Us?
