Job Title: Technical Sales Manager
Job Summary: Drive business development, pursue new opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships with potential customers to secure new accounts in the UK and EU. Develop and nurture a sales team, visit customers and suppliers, and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Stay ahead of industry trends, conduct market research, and identify potential growth areas.
Anstar is a rapidly expanding start-up in the speciality chemical distribution space. We have quickly gained prominence in the UV-curable raw materials market, including Photoinitiators, Oligomers & Monomers used in inks, coatings, adhesives, 3D printing, and electronics.
We have established a strong supplier of speciality materials used across food, animal feed, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. To steer and expand this exciting new venture, we seek an accomplished Sales Manager with a demonstrated aptitude for business development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive business development, pursue new opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships with potential customers.
* Develop and nurture a sales team.
* Visit customers, distributors, and suppliers as required.
* Maintain strong relationships with key customers.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and conduct market research.
* Track sales performance, analyse key metrics, and prepare regular reports.
* Produce product/company presentations and present to potential and current customers.
* Oversee the financial performance of the business unit.
* Act as a brand ambassador at industry events and represent the company professionally.
Essential Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience as a Sales Manager in the chemical industry.
* Strong background in Chemistry (or other related sciences) and technical proficiency in this area.
* Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, identify new market opportunities, and drive new business and customers.
* Exceptional managerial prowess and the capacity to inspire and motivate others.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high interpersonal competence and negotiation abilities.
Desirable Qualities:
* Experience working with CRMs and ERPs.
* Training in Management (online/in-person courses, MBAs, etc.).
