My client, a leading Residential & Care home Construction company, is looking for a Buyer. You will need to have worked for either a Construction/ House Builders OR a Building Provider.
You will need to have proven experience of Buying products and completing medium size contracts. You will also need to have some experience within Procurement.
Responsibilities:
1. Stating the cost of each material mentioned in the project's blueprints and drawings.
2. Locating possible vendors and discovering new goods.
3. Requesting quotes from a variety of suppliers and subcontractors.
4. Deciding on delivery dates.
5. Keeping meticulous records and coordinating work schedules.
6. Evaluating the dependability of suppliers and subcontractors.
7. Resolving issues with suppliers and the movement of materials.
8. Ensuring that products and services comply with the requirements for safety, health, and the environment.
9. Advising the project estimator on the anticipated cost of each item.
10. Coordinating closely with the estimator during the tendering process to guarantee the provision of an accurate project cost.
11. Creating and keeping cost reports to increase organisational efficiency.
12. Once a contract has been secured, negotiating and agreeing on the most favourable terms with suppliers.
