Learning Support Assistant (with Intimate Care Responsibilities) - Hourly Paid

Up to 30 hours per week
We are seeking to appoint an hourly paid Learning Support Assistant with intimate care responsibilities to our Learning Support Assistant Team at our Blossomfield Campus. The purpose of this role is to support students with additional needs in the College to enable them to gain the maximum benefit from their time with us educationally.
This role will primarily involve taking the lead role in providing intimate/personal care for our students – this will include supporting students to access the washrooms, canteen and supporting with catheterisation. The role will require up-to-date training relating to personal care and moving and handling of people.
Having worked in a supportive capacity with young people within a post 16 Further Education environment and possessing a sound understanding of the issues surrounding inclusive learning and equal opportunities, you will also support students during theoretical and practical work during lessons.
Experience of providing administration support is essential as you will be required to maintain Additional Support paperwork within the Additional Needs Team.
You will be educated to GCSE Level English / maths or equivalent and ideally possess, or be prepared to work towards, a Learning Support qualification.
The role will be based at Blossomfield Campus (Solihull).
