We are recruiting for passionate and dedicated Complex Needs Workers to join our new team, providing vital support our beneficiaries who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping. As a Complex Needs Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring that the young people in our care have the environment, resources, and support they need to thrive. You will help provide high-quality accommodation and guidance to foster independence, helping each young person develop the essential life skills they need for successful independent living. Key Responsibilities: • Provide day to day support to a caseload of residents with complex and coexisting needs, ensuring they are appropriately assessed and supported and to work collaboratively with specialist substance misuse services and Adult Mental Health Services to ensure these needs are met • To ensure each resident has a clear programme of support in place to help them achieve the independent living skills required for them to progress onto a more or even completely, independent living placement / accommodation. • To ensure the health and safety of the residents; in supporting them to maintain and further improve their mental health, and to promote their independent living abilities in accordance with their individual support plans, fully involving them in all aspects of the planning and service delivery. • Help create a supportive, inclusive environment where young people can grow and develop their personal skills. • Promote emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing by offering practical and emotional support. • Work alongside other professionals to help young people access additional services such as education, employment, and mental health support. Requirements: • Qualification in a related field (e.g. housing, social care) or Substantial knowledge and experience of working within the Housing / Support arena within a comparable or similar sector. • Have an understanding of complex needs and therapeutic approaches to support the residents in addressing their needs and inform change • Have an in-depth understanding of childhood trauma and its impact on mental wellbeing and be able to deliver the appropriate information, intervention, advice guidance • Strong understanding of the challenges young people face, particularly related to homelessness and complex needs. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with young people. • A full current UK driving licence If you’re looking to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people and are passionate about supporting them to reach their potential, we’d love to hear from you.
