My client is a highly regarded Independent and International property and surveying consultancy. Due to significant growth plans, they are seeking a lead EIA professional to join their established team in a pivotal role.
Location:
Central London/ Home Counties (flexible working available)
The successful candidate will be a pivotal member in this established team, with a particular focus on delivery and expanding it further. This role demands a proactive individual capable of working collaboratively with clients and multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of Environmental planning across multiple sectors.
Imagine contributing to various projects, leading environmental deliverables in sectors such as road, water, rail, and housing. The role extends beyond technical prowess, encompassing account and client management, business development, and marketing initiatives to elevate their already established service line.
Responsibilities:
1. Independently manage multiple environmental planning/EIA projects
2. Mentor junior colleagues
3. Attend project meetings and stakeholder consultations
4. Prepare fee bids and tenders
5. Contribute to business development activities
Responsibilities include coordinating EIAs, preparing environmental statements and risk assessments, and ensuring technical excellence. The role also involves business development, client liaison, bid preparation, line management, and mentoring within the team.
Requirements:
1. Relevant degree and/or higher qualification
2. Sound understanding of environmental legislation and policy
3. Previous industry experience across various projects
4. Excellent communication and project management skills
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Candidates must possess a minimum of 8 years' experience in environmental roles, a deep understanding of the UK planning system. A degree in Environmental Science or similar, membership in a relevant environmental body, and a full UK driver's license are essential. Chartered status is preferred.
