Job Title: Project Manager (Engineering)

Site Based / Office / Remote: This role is predominantly based in Ellesmere Port, with occasional site visits required and up to 2 days per week WFH, upon successful completion of probationary period.

Job Overview:

Qualifications & Experience:
1. Must be able to demonstrate extensive experience in delivering collaborative projects on time & in budget.
2. Good commercial awareness, including effective negotiation skills.
3. Knowledge and experience of the engineering industry.
4. Project Management / Business Management qualification is not essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Management of Project including communication with the client / subcontractors: Effective communication to the design team, and the client / subcontractors involved in relation to the following: Project Scope, Project timeline, Client Specifications, Project Budget.
2. Project Reporting: Carry out internal and external reporting including the following: monthly progress reports, Latest Best Estimates for project finances, commercial updates to internal management, invoicing schedule reviews.
3. Liaising with the shared services team: Ensure requests for resource are directed to the appropriate team, with the relevant information - this includes design resource, manufacturing technology centre build time, SAT & FAT requirements, and any other ad hoc requirements.
4. Project Risks: outline and develop contingency plans as required to ensure that project still completes within schedule.
Secondary Duties:
1. Process improvement: build a clear image of the existing processes and offer improvements and suggestions.
2. Delegation of tasks: to Project Coordinators & Project Support Officer.
