Mott MacDonald Bentley are currently looking for a Primary Electrical Design Engineer to join our battery energy storage system (BESS) team. You will provide subject matter expertise and collaborate with an experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers and designers. You'll be Joining JN Bentley in a record year for the business, that’s continuing to make strides with our ever-growing workload across the UK with turnover rising over £400m.
As part of the wider Civil and Electrical Design team, the role of the Primary Electrical Design Engineer is to produce electrical layouts for substations (including AIS / GIS up to 400kV), cable route layout drawings & sections, LV layouts, switch room and control room equipment layouts and site earthing layouts etc.
As Primary Electrical Design Engineer you will:
1. Determine the base electrical site layout for a project covering adoptable and private assets, accounting for the need to bring external services / connections to each item of plant or equipment.
2. Demonstrate a sound understanding of typical engineering documents such as, but not limited to, ENATS 41-24, NGTS RES i3, NGTS 3.02.014 RES, NGTS 2.01 RES, NGTS 1, NGTS 3.01.02, BS 50522, BS7430 and a demonstrable working understanding of G81 standards and DNO’s approved equipment registers.
