We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Hospital Operations to join our executive team at our new Harborne Hospital in Birmingham to provide senior leadership and strategic growth to enhance financial performance.
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-specialty private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.
About the role:
* Manage, inspire, and motivate the team to ensure that operational excellence, high employee engagement and service improvement is achieved
* Develop and maintain effective communication between all hospital based, NHS and corporate stakeholders
* Responsible for the overall operations of the business functions to ensure maximum utilisation of resources, efficient delivery of service and a high level of consultant satisfaction
* Meet and exceed business objectives ensuring consistent achievement of all financial and operational KPIs
* Collaborate with HCA Finance team to ensure practice and physician compensation financial audits and reconciliations are carried out in a timely fashion
* Direct and manage projects for practice portfolio, including patient flow, consultant satisfaction, patient satisfaction, practice volume, billing and collections, service utilisation, coding, physician, and staff training
What you’ll bring:
* Prior management experience within a healthcare environment
* Effective working knowledge of healthcare financial management, specifically medical practice accounting, third party reimbursement, patient flow and facilities management
* Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process
* Knowledge of fiscal management and leadership management techniques.
