Are you passionate about supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people? Do you want to be part of a dedicated team working to make a positive impact on the lives of learners in West Berkshire? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an Emotional Health Worker, reporting to the Emotional Health Academy Manager, within the Education Services team at West Berkshire Council.
The Role
As an Emotional Health Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to children and young people to enhance their emotional resilience and wellbeing.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Delivering evidence-based interventions to support emotional health and wellbeing
* Working collaboratively with schools, parents, and other professionals to identify and address the needs of learners
* Providing advice and guidance to educational establishments on promoting positive mental health
* Contributing to the development and delivery of group interventions
* Supporting the Emotional Health Academy Manager in the overall coordination and management of services
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Experience in providing emotional health and wellbeing support to children and young people
* Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for improving emotional resilience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, parents, and professionals
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* A positive and proactive approach, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
