Chef Manager Live in
The hotel is currently looking for an experienced Chef Manager to provide practical direction to all members of the kitchen team. A hands-on team player who is used to cooking using fresh seasonal produce, whilst effectively managing a kitchen team and liaising directly with internal departments and external suppliers.
Salary: £2500 UK TAX FREE basic + £200 UK TAX FREE contract completion bonus per month plus tips
Contract: 8 month seasonal contract Start 24th March 2025

Chef Manager responsibilities include:
* Manage team to deliver outstanding dishes from our established menu, using locally sourced fresh seasonal produce. Including produce from Stocks Permaculture Garden
* Daily preparation, cooking and presentation of all menu items. Demonstrating a hands-on approach, alongside chef team
* Drive the highest level of cleanliness, hygiene, health & safety and compliance with all Food Standards Agency regulations. Proactively working to resolve any issues identified
* Participate in and oversee the maintenance of kitchen cleanliness and food standards
* Managing food ordering, deliveries & storage.
* Communicate respectfully and positively with all staff. Leading by example to ensure this attitude is adopted by the whole kitchen team
* Build and maintain a happy and positive team environment enabling the exceeding of guests expectations
Requirements and skills:
* Previous supervisory experience in abusy kitchen
* A lead by example attitude, displaying anexcellent positive work ethic
* The ability and desire to identify skillgaps and provide training and support
* Excellent teamworking experience andrespectful communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills and theability to multitask
* Effective collaboration with internaldepartments, suppliers and guests
* Patience and cool headedness
