Position: SEND Teacher
Location: Amesbury, Wiltshire

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Amesbury, working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of children, with the potential for the role to extend into the next academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of SEND pupils.
2. Develop and implement individual learning plans to support students' progress.
3. Provide support to pupils in both academic and personal development.
4. Collaborate closely with other staff members, including Teaching Assistants and SENCO, to ensure effective provision.
5. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to help each child thrive.
6. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
7. Maintain a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that supports student well-being.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience working with children with SEND, particularly within a primary school setting (desirable but not essential).
3. Strong knowledge of SEND strategies and the ability to adapt lessons to suit various learning needs.
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to form positive relationships with children and colleagues.
5. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
6. A DBS check or the willingness to undertake one (if required).
