We are currently looking to expand our management team to recruit a deputy practice manager who can help lead our organisation into the future.
Oakmeadow Surgery (Glenfield, Leicester) is a city-based practice, with 8,500 patients and 5 partners and 3 salaried GPs. We employ a host of highly skilled staff including 2 pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, HCAs and other roles. We are a training practice and support medical students and GP trainees. We are an extremely supportive and strong team. We pride ourselves on working smarter, being innovative and being high achieving in terms of QOF, IIF and DES.
Main duties of the job
1. Experience in a similar role preferably GP practice management
2. Strong organisational skills and leadership qualities
3. A keen eye for detail, quality improvement, patient engagement using social media and working with the patient participation group.
4. Excellent team working and communication skills.
5. Good knowledge of IT, especially SystmOne and other GP systems including running reports, as well as a good working knowledge of other IT systems such as MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
About us
37 hours per week with a flexible schedule, usually 4 days a week.
Very competitive pay £18+ per hour dependent on experience.
Annual leave 5.6 weeks per year.

The role will include:
1. Leadership and management of the practice and staff
2. Daily operations and strategic planning
3. Compliance, IT, finances, stock and facilities management and governance health and safety, CQC, etc, HR and staffing, rotas, etc.

Qualifications
* SY1 competent
* GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths
Experience
* Experience in a similar role (preferably GP practice management)
