We’re looking for an experienced Architect with a minimum 5 years’ post Part 3 experience to join our dynamic practice in Dundee.
Established in 2002, we are a design-led practice and believe that all opportunities should be taken to bring a little joy to our buildings. We work from our welcoming city centre studio located in a stone mews building, which we developed inhouse.
You’ll work on a diverse range of exciting projects, from high-end private residential to rural social housing and projects for whisky companies and the MOD. Candidates would be client facing and deal with projects from inception, through planning, warrant, tendering and contract administration.
The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of diverse building types, although we’d prefer an Architect with a more commercial background. The role is preferably full time, but we’d be open to a reduced role to suit candidates, with a minimum of 3 days.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential with a working knowledge of Revit preferred. You should be proficient with the Adobe Suite of programs. A working knowledge of NBS would be useful.
The opportunity to advance within the practice is fundamental to what we do and we offer a package including a competitive salary, bonus structure, medical insurance and share options. All memberships including ARB, RIAS, RIBA, APS etc. are paid for by the practice.
We have an active inhouse CPD programme which includes office-based and external visits. We encourage everyone to specialise, and support further learning to reach personal training goals. Our practice has a strong social culture and we enjoy monthly staff lunches, inspiring study trips and the occasional party.
Please email a CV including examples of your experience to alison@andrewblackdesign.com. We encourage candidates to get in touch for an informal chat prior to formally applying.
