Are you passionate about the performing arts and ready to bring your administrative expertise to a vibrant school setting? We are seeking a dedicated Music and Drama Administrator to support the smooth running of our thriving Music and Drama departments. The successful candidate will work full-time (37.5 hours) during term time plus an additional ten days to be worked across the holiday periods, in arrangement with the line manager. Part-time options may be considered for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to both departments, enabling the delivery of exceptional curricular and co-curricular activities. This is a diverse and rewarding role, perfect for someone who thrives in a creative environment and enjoys multitasking.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and support peripatetic music and LAMDA teachers, including timetabling, IT assistance, and student absence management.
* Administer ABRSM and LAMDA exam arrangements, liaising with parents, pupils, and exam boards.
* Communicate with parents, students, and the wider school community regarding departmental updates and opportunities.
* Assist in the organisation and management of productions, student showcases, and external trips, including ticketing, risk assessments, and logistics.
* Maintain departmental records, inventories, and resources, including musical instruments, sheet music, and co-curricular registers.
We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual with:
* A strong general education, with GCSE passes in Mathematics and English.
* Proven administrative skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in working with both young people and adults.
* An interest in Music and Drama. Experience with LAMDA, ABRSM, or working within education is an advantage.
