About the job
Working within the Marine Division in the UK & Ireland sales company, you are responsible for document control and project engineering to deliver complex contracts. You achieve success by consistently and accurately completing tasks on time and by proactively delivering on time.
This role is based at our Camberley, UK office, you will report into the Capital Sales Manager and work alongside the marine project manager and technical teams.
The successful candidate will be performing the following tasks as part of their role. Due to the wide range of products and solutions that are offered by Alfa Laval, the exact nature of the tasks within the role may vary.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Document control - correct naming/numbering of documentation, keeping documents up to date and managed on a document register.
* Maintaining contemporaneous and designated document understanding and status.
* Attending update meetings alongside the project manager with clients to understand deliverable timeframes & priorities. Meeting responsibility includes recording and distributing minutes and agreed actions.
* Producing documents by taking information from existing Alfa Laval documentation and generating new documentation as per client specification (requirement) - Word, PDF, Excel.
* Be able to understand technical, engineering documentation i.e. read & understand AutoCAD drawings (looking to check that information is present as required by client).
* Be able to understand technical information regarding mechanical & electrical processes and be able to generate new documentation with this information.
* Prepare technical submissions in the client’s format with information provided by the project manager and/or technical teams.
* Receive document feedback from clients and amend / re-submit documentation accordingly.
* Manage & co-ordinate import-export documentation and co-ordinate shipping program alongside the project manager.

What you know
To succeed in this position, you bring excellent English written and verbal communication skills, combined with a high level of digital proficiency. This includes expertise with Microsoft Office programs, Adobe PDF, and other communication and collaboration tools. A background in mechanical or electrical disciplines is highly desirable, along with knowledge or experience in the commercial or Merchant Marine industry. Familiarity with government contracts is an advantage, especially as this role involves working with agreements subject to UK Government security requirements.
