IT Support Engineer
Job Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm & Friday 8.30am - 15.45pm
A leading Technology & Manufacturing company based in Ferndown are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their team. This position will see you providing effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and you will be responsible for providing hardware and software support for end users and support the team to provide support to the IT infrastructure and services.
Within this role you will be:
1. Providing 1st & 2nd line support and advice across the business, logging all issues on the IT ticketing system.
2. Troubleshooting complex issues by analysing root causes and evaluating options.
3. Performing routine monitoring of systems and software.
4. Responsible for the generation and maintenance of Virtual Machines and installation of end user software.
5. Perform routine administration for new employees and leavers.
6. Assist in maintaining, administering and developing the IT Infrastructure in line with business needs.
7. Administer and monitor internet and email filtering systems.
8. Responsible for the organisation's software asset management.
The successful applicant should possess:
1. Proven working experience providing IT Support.
2. Experienced in providing 1st & 2nd Line support.
3. Qualifications in Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA or ITIL are advantageous.
4. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
5. Experience in MS Office 365 administration.
6. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Management and Implementations.
7. Well-organised, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
8. Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained.
