As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in care while also leading a dynamic team of professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Supervision: Lead a dedicated team of social workers, care coordinators, and support staff. Provide effective supervision and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
2. Case Management: Take responsibility for managing care plans focused on the well-being of children in care. Regularly review and recommend changes to enhance the effectiveness of care plans.
3. Safeguarding: Work closely with health professionals, educators, and the police to ensure the safety and welfare of children, helping to protect them from harm.
4. Decision Making: Use your in-depth knowledge of children's legislation (such as the Children Act 1989) to make critical decisions regarding care placements, including fostering, adoption, and residential care.
5. Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with foster carers, teachers, health professionals, and legal practitioners to ensure the comprehensive care of children.
6. Reporting & Compliance: Oversee compliance with statutory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports, care reviews, and other documentation. Represent the authority in court when necessary.
7. Training & Development: Lead the professional development of your team, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the diverse and complex needs of children in care.
