Teaching Assistant - Oxford

* Daily pay rate: £83.33 - £90 (£16,282.50 - £17,550 annually for 39 academic weeks)

Do you enjoy working with children? A local Oxford, Oxfordshire based school is eager to expand their Teaching Assistant team. Embark on this exciting journey to make a positive impact on young Primary learners.
The Teaching Assistant role:
1. Assist classroom activities - Work in partnership with teachers to plan and perform dynamic lessons, implementing inclusive and creative strategies. 1 to 1 support may be required.
2. Excellent support team - opportunities for progression, essential for aspiring Early Careers.
3. Support and nurture the environment for students to absorb a solid foundation of their education. Previous understanding of the national Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 curriculum is not essential; the ability to adapt to new content is key.
4. Awareness of child safeguarding and ability to highlight concerns to senior teaching staff.
5. Promote holistic student growth and contribute to creating a safe cohesive classroom.
Key skills/requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS - currently holding a valid one on the update service or be willing to undergo the process.
2. Pro-active demeanour, energetic, enthusiastic and caring approach to supporting students.
3. Support on a 1-2-1 basis with a pupil with Autism or another with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
4. A strong background in Maths and English is ideal for this role, and the Primary school is ideally looking for someone with previous experience with SEN.
Suitable for recent school leavers, University graduates, Pre-PGCE qualified students and experienced Teaching Assistants.
