Job Description
Structural Engineer OSP JKT required for a major offshore wind developer based in England.
Responsibilities
1. Supporting the work package and Engineering work stream for the OSP work package.
2. Planning and executing the structural work tasks.
3. Preparing/ validating structural concepts designs.
4. Preparing technical specifications.
5. Planning and leading structural clarification meetings, including documentation of the results and actions.
6. Participating in work package meetings/ jour fixes and, if required, in work stream and project management meetings/ jour fixes.
7. Planning and supervising expert and supplier meetings.
8. Aligning with other work packages and presenting proposals to the Work Package Manager(s) and Work Stream Lead(s).
9. Ensuring structural work tasks are delivered in accordance with budget, timelines, quality, HSE, applicable laws, regulations, and codes and standards.
10. Escalating problems that cannot be solved at the lead engineer/ expert level to the Work Package Manager.
11. Coordinating structural-related interfaces and stakeholders, such as other work packages and work streams.
12. Providing required input and output of the work package to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
1. Civil/ Structural Engineer or similar.
2. Detailed and specific knowledge and experience in design and execution of:
1. Offshore steel structures (calculation, welding), preferably for Offshore Substation Platforms (OSP) foundations and topsides.
2. Safety and fire protection concepts for passive fire protection (walls, doors, windows, hatches, etc.).
3. Corrosion protection of steel structures and equipment.
4. Weight control.
3. General knowledge and experience in:
1. Building integration.
2. Material handling.
3. Operation and Maintenance (maintenance-free, simple access to areas, working space, replaceability, etc.).
4. Good interface knowledge and understanding of stakeholder needs, including:
1. HV/MV Electrical equipment and cable integration and arrangement.
2. LV/ Aux equipment and cable integration and arrangement.
3. Transport and Installation.
4. Certification.
5. Knowledge and commitment to HSE in general and specific to the Work Package responsibility.
6. Experience in offshore civil/ structural steel design and related interfaces, preferably for OSP in at least one previous large infrastructure project.
7. Fluent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
8. Hands-on mentality and strong impulse to solve issues on the working level and perform the work autonomously.
9. General Project Management knowledge (IPMA Level D or comparable recommended) or practical Project Management experience of at least 2 years.
10. People skills, ability to lead by example and to lead without disciplinary (line) authority.
11. Ability to professionally interact with external stakeholders relevant for the Work Package, including in the supply industry, authorities, and the public.
12. Good business ethics and general knowledge relevant for the Work Package, including negotiations, law, contracts, consenting, and the electricity and offshore industries.
