As Head of Conveyancing, you'll play a vital role in shaping both operational success and future growth.\n\nAs Head of Conveyancing, you'll lead the entire conveyancing department - managing performance, compliance, team development, and strategic goals.
You'll also handle your own caseload, with assistant support, ensuring that service delivery remains personal and efficient.\n\nThis role offers the perfect mix of senior leadership and hands-on legal practice.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nOversee the operational, financial, and strategic performance of the conveyancing department.\nDirectly manage the conveyancing and support teams, nurturing a high-performing culture.\nRun your own caseload of residential property matters, with assistant support.\nSet departmental KPIs and targets, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.\nImplement continuous improvements to systems, processes, and client service.\nMaintain full compliance with CQS, SRA, and all regulatory obligations.\nLead recruitment, training, and onboarding within the team.\nAct as the key contact for referrers and contribute to developing new business opportunities.\nProduce regular MI and performance reports for senior leadership.\nFoster collaboration with other departments across the PM Law Group. \n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nA minimum of 5 years' experience in residential conveyancing across a wide range of transactions.\nProven leadership or management experience within a legal team.\nExceptional knowledge of CQS/SRA compliance and regulatory standards.\nCommercial mindset with strong experience in managing KPIs and financial targets.\nOrganised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.\nExcellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.\nA team player with the ability to motivate and develop others. \n\nWhy Apply Through LJ Recruitment?\n\nAt LJ Recruitment, we're specialists in placing top legal talent into roles that offer more than just a job.
