An exciting Business Development Manager role for someone with procurement, sales, or operations experience in a foodservice environment.
My client is a specialist provider of procurement services to the Food & Beverage/Hospitality sector delivering profit improvement to SMEs. They are a well-established business with a fantastic reputation within its sector. They have recently added an exciting new arm to their business which would suit someone with foodservice experience in an operations, commercial, procurement, or supply chain role.
They have a clear ambition to build and grow this part of their business at pace and have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join the sales team to identify potential clients, manage the sales process, and convert new leads into clients.
The successful professional will have the ability to create new relationships and have proven experience of engaging and influencing C- level stakeholders and decision makers. This is a key role in this business and is pivotal role in helping them grow this arm of the business.
I’m looking for someone with a demonstrable track record in the foodservice sector – end user engagement is key to the success and being comfortable in a new business environment as well as developing relationships.
You will need the following:
1. Experience and knowledge of new business development, account management, and telemarketing
2. A proven ability to influence and negotiate
3. Excellent level of IT competence including Microsoft Windows Software such as Excel & PowerPoint
4. To be an excellent listener and have the ability to understand and establish clients’ needs
5. An ability to work effectively as part of a team
6. Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Above all you’ll be a real foodie – hardworking, self-motivated, and tenacious. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
