Are you ready to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact in diabetes and endocrinology care? We are excited to invite applications for the position of Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team on Vickers 2 and Vickers 3 at the Northern General Hospital.
Our acute diabetes and endocrinology wards provide high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with complex medical needs, including those with mental health conditions. Each ward has a unique specialty:
1. Vickers 2 specialises in diabetic foot care, offering expert support to patients with complex diabetic foot complications.
2. Vickers 3 is the designated safe haven for individuals with eating disorders, providing holistic and compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Both wards share a commitment to excellence in acute care, integrating physical and mental health management to address the multifaceted needs of our patients.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in leading, inspiring, and supporting a team of skilled professionals. This position offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, influence patient care, and contribute to service development within a thriving, fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for:
* Delivering exceptional nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassion.

GRaDE Care Group is comprised of 3 clinical directorates:
* Diabetes and Endocrinology
* Gastroenterology and Hepatology
* Respiratory Medicine
All three directorates operate on the Northern and Central campus' although the acute admitting base for all of the specialties is at the Northern General Hospital. The Care Group has 11 acute base wards at the Northern General Hospital and one acute and one elective base ward at the Central Campus. Outpatient services operate on both campus' and are supported by the Patient Booking Hub at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
