Pharmacy Technician Team Manager for Procurement and Distribution
Are you experienced in Procurement and Distribution services, ideally in NHS Hospital pharmacies and looking to lead the service? An opportunity has arisen for the post as the Technician Lead for Procurement and Distribution Services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS trust.
Working with the Chief Pharmacy Technician and equivalents in Dispensary and Aseptics, you will be leading your service to deliver excellence in quality, performance, and patient care.
With an established team of technicians and assistants in place, we need your commitment and focus to ensure we manage medicines effectively, procure at best value to the NHS, and implement changes to improve how we work.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure safe and high-quality care.
2. Leadership for Procurement and distribution services and acting as a senior departmental manager.
3. Ensure that appropriate training, stock management, and safe staffing levels are in place within service responsibilities.
4. Ensure that we are operating legally and safely in line with the MHRA requirements for holders of a Wholesale Dealers license.
5. Deputise for and support the Chief Pharmacy Technician in the overall management and delivery of Pharmacy Services.
Job responsibilities
This post has a wide range of responsibilities and will require good communication with other Pharmacy service leads and networks for stakeholders within the wider Trust and commercial clients of our Wholesale supply chain.

Person Specification
Education Qualifications and Training
* Registered with the GPhC.
* First line management training or a management qualification.
* CIPS qualification or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience of delivery of NHS Procurement and Distribution Services.
* Significant experience of line managing people.
* Managing Teams.
* Experience of change & project management.
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
* Policy and Procedures.
* Able to manage staff and work through HR processes.
* Good personal organisational skills and the ability to organise others.
* Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
* Write and review Standard Operating Procedures.
* Able to negotiate and work through difficult situations.
Special Circumstances
* Ability to travel between sites.
* Willingness and ability to attend relevant courses for service or personnel development as required by the Trust.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
£43,742 to £50,056 a year per annum pro rata.
