An opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker has arisen on Ward 20 at the Princess of Wales Hospital. We are looking for a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team on the Care of the Elderly ward.
The individual will be required to work under the direction of the registered nurse, ensuring that high standards of care are provided and maintained at all times. The applicant will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the ability to use their own initiative. Flexibility regarding shift patterns is essential. In addition, experience working with the elderly who may have complex physical and cognitive needs is desirable; however, training will be provided for the successful applicant.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience
* Care experience
* Ability to work as a member of a team but also able to show initiative to work alone.
* Ability to work supervised and in non-supervised circumstances
* Experience of dealing with members of the public.
* NVQ Level 2 in care
Skills
* Well organised in approach to work tasks
* Understand the importance of reporting to the nurse in charge
* Ability to be flexible
