An exciting job role has recently become available at the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for a new member for their Learning Disabilities Team.
What will your responsibilities be?
As an Adult Learning Disabilities Team Manager, you will lead, manage, and support a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring effective supervision, appraisal, and professional development. You will oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of social care services, lead on safeguarding adults with robust procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will develop and maintain effective partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Management qualification (desirable)
* Significant experience in adult social care
* Proven experience in managing and leading a team
* Experience in safeguarding adults and working with multi-agency partners
