Location: Hybrid - 3 days remote, 2 from the office in Stratford, E20

About the Team
The Information & Technology team connects, protects, and empowers the organisation and its stakeholders. The ICT team maintains a modern, cloud-based environment, supporting approximately 400 office and remote staff. Key applications include M365, SharePoint, Salesforce, Unit4 ERPX, Snowflake Datacloud, and Asana.
About the Role
The Applications Manager will play a vital role in overseeing and developing the organisation s applications, ensuring they align with strategic goals. The role involves hands-on management of SharePoint, as well as wider responsibilities for corporate applications, governance, and support. Working alongside an integrated service provider, you will help shape the organisation s technology strategy by ensuring optimal system performance, security, and usability.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an agile environment, where decision-making is streamlined, and innovation is encouraged. The successful candidate will take ownership of this role, working collaboratively across teams and providing expert guidance on application management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and hands-on management of SharePoint and Asana, ensuring they meet the organisation s needs.
* Support teams across the organisation in application management, ensuring governance, security, and supplier accountability.
* Assist the Finance department in managing the newly deployed UNIT4 ERPX system.
* Maintain a comprehensive application register and map the organisation s data architecture.
* Ensure data security, consistency, and reliability across interfaces and workflows.
* Keep up to date with advancements in applications and translate knowledge into organisational benefits.
* Develop and maintain effective business continuity plans for key applications.
* Champion shared organisational values and inclusive practices in all aspects of work.
Essential Skills and Experience
* SharePoint administration and development experience.
* Proven track record in enterprise application deployment and management.
* Strong understanding of information governance and security policies.
* Experience with application testing, documentation, and user training.
* Knowledge of Cyber Essentials+ and security best practices.
* Experience in data and application architecture mapping.
* Supporting cloud-based applications in environments such as Azure or AWS.
Desirable Knowledge & Skills
Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous:
* Applications: SharePoint, Asana, Zendesk, Unit4 ERP, Salesforce, Visio, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Copilot.
* Technical: Change & release management, Windows OS, Azure Active Directory, AWS, ITIL frameworks.
* Professional Competency: SFIA Level 4-5.
