Senior Programme Manager (Central Gov)

All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) to Security Check (SC) and NPPV3 level.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Senior Programme Manager you will provide strategic leadership and oversight across complex, high-impact programmes. You'll work alongside talented, driven people to improve some of the UK's most impactful public services, tackling problems that affect the most vulnerable citizens.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing P3M oversight, expertise and leadership
- Managing senior-level stakeholder relationships
- Leading technical delivery workstreams and supporting their direction
- Implementing Agile, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Forming blended delivery teams with clients and third parties
- Mentoring team members and developing programme and project management capabilities
- Building and growing the PM capability across the business unit
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Formal programme or project management certification(s) (such as: PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI-ACP, Project+, CAPM, SAFe)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and personal effectiveness skills
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, facilitation and presentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven success delivering medium to large-scale programmes in complex environments
- Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps and SRE
- Experience working with Central Government, policing or law enforcement highly advantageous
