ABOUT THE ROLE
Due the company expanding and winning several large scale projects across south Wales they are now looking for a Site Manager to support the project manager. The projects that you will be involved in will be high voltage substation works and the civils package including concrete works.
The successful candidate will need to construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified time frame with correctly allocated resources. You are going to need to optimise outputs and reduce the need for overtime working to allow all colleagues to keep a good working pattern throughout the week. If you’re selected you would also be involved in reading, understanding and explaining drawing specifications. It’s important to note that you’ll also need to ensure safety compliances and promote safe working practices. As the potential new Site Manager, you will be in charge of monitoring construction activity on site and make sure that they meet up to the quality standards put in place.
REQUIREMENTS
You will need to have had experience working on sub stations projects in the UK for a specialist utility contractor. (preferably high voltage works)
You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction management or civil engineering.
Your work history should be stable; ideally you should have worked at your previous companies for a number of years.
A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £40,000–£50,000 + package
