What we’re looking for This leadership position is responsible for the Editorial direction and cross-regional coordination of the Oleochemicals group and market coverage, as well as for editorial market engagement initiatives. It edits and oversees production of the weekly reports, steers market price formation, analysis writing, and continuous customer engagement in the sector. The individual will work with sector management to help shape global strategy in support of achieving / maintaining indexation opportunities. K ey Responsibilities Oversee s and edit s four weekly and bi- weekly publication s and drive consistent standards globally Single point of contact to work with sector head, global editorial management and team, and sales and marketing to implement a coherent global strategy Speak with participants in the relevant regional markets regularly to build Argus brand awareness and to pursue/maintain indexation opportunities Engage with customers on a continuous basis, proactively developing services and products to meet customer needs Develop methodologies for new assessments globally and maintain existing methodologies Ensure editorial focus is aligned with business objectives and that indexation opportunities are captured Train and mentor editorial employees, and work with the editorial Head of Training to develop employee careers Ensure team is properly resourced by working with HR and the regional Managing Editor to hire top candidates Provide input to product development, product redesign or product rationalisation Work with Business Development, Marketing and Sales to develop consistent approaches to customer engagement Foster and enable communication within the editorial team, and between Editorial, Consulting, Sales and Marketing Act as a lead representative of Argus at industry events and deliver presentations to clients and market at large promoting value proposition to market Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days of work are generally Monday through Friday, and hours vary by region and market. Time flexibility, including weekend working, may be expected on occasion. Travel 10-20% is expected for this position.
