They pride themselves on their strong community ethos and our dedication to helping every child achieve their potential.The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This role is essential in providing tailored support to help the child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Responsibilities Provide individualized support to the child during classroom activities and throughout the school day. Implement strategies and interventions as outlined in the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP). Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor and review the child's progress. Support the child in developing social skills and managing their emotions and behavior. Assist with personal care needs, if required. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with the child's parents/carers, providing regular updates on progress and any concerns. Participate in training and professional development opportunities.Requirements Experience working with children with Autism, SEMH, and ADHD, preferably in a school setting. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
