Distance Learning Engagement Tutor - The Role: Are you passionate about supporting adult learners to achieve their qualifications? Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a dedicated Distance Learning Engagement Tutor to provide outstanding 1-to-1 support and guidance to distance learners, helping them reach their full potential. As a Distance Learning Engagement Tutor, you will guide learners through their journey, offering essential advice and ongoing tutorial support to ensure they stay engaged and on track to complete their courses successfully. Distance Learning Engagement Tutor - Key Responsibilities: Engage and support learners remotely via phone and Teams, building strong relationships from enrolment to course completion. Provide Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG) to help learners understand their learning programme. Monitor learner progress through E-Assessor, providing timely feedback and addressing any barriers to success. Offer proactive support by implementing study skills and additional resources through online tutorials. Collaborate with the team to identify and address low engagement and provide solutions to keep learners on track. Encourage learner progression to further courses within the college. Ensure high levels of learner satisfaction, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns promptly. Distance Learning Engagement Tutor - You: The ideal candidate will have: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with remote learners. Experience in delivering advice and guidance and working with distance learners. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively. Familiarity with E-Assessor or similar tracking systems. A commitment to providing inclusive, student-centred support to ensure learner success. Essential Qualifications Hold a Literacy and numeracy level 2 qualification (GCSE A-C/9-4) or equivalent. A Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and experience.
